Gabriel as I had stated last time has been having a very rough time not only in school but also at home with being able to control his feelings which usually come out explosively and destructively. Gabriel needs a better outlet in the home on rainy days to be able to express his energy as well and finds a hard time focusing. His appetite is also out of control, just this morning we have had more than 4 meltdowns because he just wants to constantly eat. He has eating almost half a loaf of bread in toast alone before 10 this morning! His High energy level is just burning through those calories constantly. Atm we are waiting to hear back from several in-home therapy places and working with the crisis center

Gabriel has been having a bit of a tough time theses last few months and has been finding it very hard to control his feelings and emotions. He has been experiencing strong repetitive behaviors, especially involving his food and clothes. Often he burst out crying or very angry and defiant, not only is it impacting his family but also his relationship with friends. We hope to schedule a new meeting with his Neuro soon and discuss some of his new and resurfacing behaviours.

They are the The Autism Trust and have a social enterprise store where we sell art and products made by people with autism, Asperger's and related conditions. We there're always on the lookout for sales to keep our programmes, clubs and support groups running but also we're looking for more artists and crafts people with autism to display their skills and sell their stuff in the shop Polly's place. They were kind enough to send me a magnet made by one of these amazing individuals. And it is beautiful. I recommend purchasing their items for any thing like gifts or just yourself! So we have gotten some new Flyers compliments of Minuteman Press of Beverly! and we will be sending out mailers soon! Gabriel is doing great at school although we are going through a period of "NO!" at the moment and he is having a problem sharing attention and a difficult time at going to birthday parties of class mates. We will be doing a Dough raiser soon at Uno's in Swampscott Ma, and if we raise over $1000 we will make 20% of that! During this time we will also be doing raffles and a 50/50. We have met so may kind people who have helped us get the the point where we are now but we can't slow down now! We also participated in an Autism Research Study with Boston Children's Hospital, knowing we are helping doctors and family find the answers they need to the ever puzzling question of what the cause and solution of Autism is exhilarating! If you, someone you know or a business would like to help us reach our goal, please don't hesitate to share our site or to contact us a [email protected]
Thanksgiving is on the way! I feel like I have been under a mountain of meetings and paperwork! Gabriel's progression is very good although some behaviours issues has begun to place a damper on his other improvements. He has begun to REALLY bully his brother. His outward aggression is touch and go too. We have begun to handle the aggression by putting him in his room anytime there is even a small amount of aggression. This seem like it may be starting to work! |
